As part of Citus Power’s renewable energy portfolio, development of the project started in 2013. Citus Power conducted site selection, wind mast installation, wind measurements, energy yield assessments, micrositing studies, pre-construction cost studies, license and permitting document preparations. The project was sold to Acwa Power, one of the leading global energy players.

Operator of one of the busiest ports in İstanbul and also the world's leading port operator, DP World, preferred Citus Power to build its industrial rooftop SPP at its Yarımca sea port.
